The Cave of Trials, Virtual Expel, and a stronger Indalecio


There is a save point in Fienal right before you fight Indalecio, the last save point in the game. If you save there and then leave Fienal, you can unlock Virtual Expel, the Cave of Trials, and an incredibly strong version of Indalecio.

If you go to Fun City after saving at the last save point, you will meet a man in the battle coliseum. He will offer to send you to a virtual Expel recreated from your memories. Your synard will be there, too! There is a beast in Arlia that will send you back to Fun City if you call it silly!

The Cave of Trials is the strongest dungeon in the entire game. It is home to tons of treasures. However, there are strong monsters and puzzles to block your path. It is found on a small island on Expel, previously unreachable. Now that you have your synard, you can reach it. You can find some of your mages ultimate spells and some very strong weapons. Each level has a boss, and sometimes, the boss from the previous level is a normal monster on the next level, so be carefull.

To fight a stronger version of Indalecio, save at the final save point, and go to central city. You must have met Filia in a Private Action in Clik before it was destroyed. Go into a Private Action in Central City, and visit the city hall. You will see Filia in the main lobby. Talk to her, and you will learn some interesting things about the Ten Wise Men, and that Indalecio is weakened by a limiter that she has. Unfortunately, this conversation causes the limiter to be deactivated, causing him to become MUCH stronger. You may want to visit the Cave of Trials if you want to beat the game now.....

Getting the Eternal Sphere
After the Lacour Tournament of Arms, go to Gamgee's house. It is on the west side of Lacour. He will give you the Sharp Edge sword. Have Claude get a high-level Customize skill. Save the game, in case you get a failure for the following steps. Combine the Sharp Edge with some Mithril (if you haven't found any, use the Lezard Flask, found in central city on Energy Nede, with a LVL 8 alchemy skill. The person with the alchemy skill should have the Blessing of Manna. Then, you can make some mithril.) You will get the Minus Sword if you are successful. Once again, combine the Minus Sword with some Mithril and you will receive the Eternal Sphere. Other than the Holy Sword Farwell found in the Cave of Trials, this is the strongest sword for Claude in the game.

Many people don't know this, but your attributes do not grow automatically when you gain levels. Only when you raise certain skills do your attributes grow. The only attribute that does rise when you gain a level is your HP.
