Wild ARMs 2 Walkthru version 1.0

At the beginning of the game you will see a screen with three separate "cards". Each card has a character on it. The characters are Ashley Winchester, Brad Evans, and Lilka Eleniak. You must eventually select all three characters and complete each of their introductions. Each introduction has a boss enemy at the end. Ashley and Brad's quests are fairly simple dungeons. Lilka's introduction includes a puzzle.

Ashley's Intro
******************

You begin as a large truck speeds down a dirt road. Inside is the musketeer group, including Ashley and several others. You exit the truck and enter the Withered Ruinsto save a hostage from kidnappers. This is a very simple dungeon with a few simple tricks. Enter the dungeon and go straight forward. There will be a large hole and a man will say someone fell down. Jump down into the hole and talk to the fallen musketeer. He will teach you the skill "Hurl Knife" which you can use to activate faraway switches to open doors. He will open a door to your left. Take the heal berry out of the room and go back upstairs. Activate that switch. Go into the door to the east. Keep going through the dungeon until you enter a room with several walkways. The trick is that certain tiles give out. There are three ways to avoid falling.

  • The loose tiles appear somewhat raised and appear different from the rest of the tiles.
  • You can step on the edge of a tile and it will fall if it is loose. However, you will be on the adjacent tile.
  • Never take the short way between two places. "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

There are a few rooms with walkways. Remember, your knife falls as soon as it hits an obstacle (hint, hint :). You will soon reach a room with the kidnappers and the hostage, a child named Tony. You tell Tony to distract them and he accidentally releases a monster named Kalivos. Your commander orders the ruins to be destroyed, but you stay and fight Kalivos.

Kalivos is your first boss fight, if you're following this walkthru. All bosses have separate parts that you can target. If you kill the main body, the boss dies automatically. If you kill the parts first, you will also gain extra EXP and Gella. Also, if a claw or part has a certain attack, that attack will be disabled.
Kalivos is a very easy boss to kill. Ashley will always attack first if he is at level 3 or higher. Once your HP gets to 40 or below, use a heal berry. Keep attacking with ARMs until he is dead.

You will be placed under house arrest for disobeying orders.

Lilka's Intro
******************

A meeting goes on as a strange girl, Lilka, appears on the table. She had tried to teleport to another city, but she ended up here. She can use magic. You change over to the millenium puzzle, a dungeon. There are 4 switchblocks you must activate, one of which is activated for you. There are one or more transportation diamonds in each room. To proceed correctly, you must get to the diamond that is most out-of-reach. Eventually you will reach a room with 4 colored panels: a blue panel, a red panel, a yellow panel, and a green panel. Each panel can be raised by standing on it. You can raise it one level by quickly stepping on then off of it. You can raise it two levels by jumping off midway. You can raise it three levels by allowing it to rise completely and then jumping off. You bust let the green and blue panels rise three levels, let the red panel rise one level, and let the yellow panel rise two levels to make the barrier blocking you from the next room disappear. You will soon return to the village in which monsters are attacking the granary. Talk to everyone and eventually (though it takes awhile) monsters will attack. Lilka will have to fight Olivier, a boss. Use flame on his main body and freeze on his legs to win these fairly easy battle.

Brad's Intro
******************
Five years ago, an escapee runs down a path in a forest. Soldiers are looking for him, so he hides behind a rock. His name is Brad Evans. After the soldiers discuss him, head north (or right if you don't rotate the camera). Go through a few screens and turn left. Keep going up and you will see a puppy. The puppy goes forward and finds soldiers which ignore him. You thank the puppy for saving you and continue. There will be another path branching to the right of the path. Go into that area and into the building where you will find the kick boots tool. You can kick the door to the right of the building and get the treasure chest which has a bullet load. Resume on your previous path down the road. There will be a lift supported by a column. Kick the column with your new boots to make the lift fall. You will jump onto it. Two soldiers will be talking about capturing you as a large monster, Gremalkin, attacks. You decide to save them and fight it.

GREMALKIN
Fighting Gremalkin is again, very simple. Just keep attacking and using the bazooka. Kill the belly first, then the main body for max EXP and Gella.

You are now allowed on the world map. To the northwest is T'Bok Village. Go there. Merrill will find you unconcious and will save you. Soon, soldiers will come and ask for you. You come out to find out what the noise is about, and they take you into custody, threatening the lives of the townspeople.

Town of Meria
******************

The focus of the game switches back over to Ashley in his home. His is under house arrest and must remain in the town. Marina tells him that Tony, the boy he saved, and two of his friends are outside looking for him. Go outside and talk to them. Apparently, a kitten has stolen a treasure of theirs and they cannot get it back. The cat is on the roof of the bakery, your home. Go back inside the bakery and go to the second floor. Climb up the ladder by pressing " X " in front of it. The cat will run away. Keep following it around until you reach a man on a roof trying to fix a hole in it. Talk to him and he will ask you if you want his help. Chase the cat and he will return to the bakery roof. Chase the cat once again, but this time the man will make it fall in the hole of his roof. Jump into the hole. The cat is in the corner. You will return the treasure to the boys and Tim will give you Grudiev, the guardian of Earth.

Marina will come to you and tell you that you have been selected for ARMS (Agile Remote Mission Squad), a special fighting group. You are to go to the Sword Cathedral located northwest of Meria at the foot of the mountain. You leave the next day.

Sword Cathedral
******************

The leader of ARMS gives a small speech and then a ceremony proceeds in which all the new members try to draw the sword "Arghetlam" from the Sword Magess. As Ashley tries to draw the sword, the credits roll. No, its not the end of the game, but a description of the legend of the Sword Magess and Arghetlam. (A thing Sony did in both Wild Arms games. A clever way to make people see the credits.) Evidently, Ashley failed in drawing the sword. The scene shifts to a dinner celebration. Talk to some of your new comrades and talk to your commander. A large black "portal" opens that begins changing your comrades into disgusting green demons. Ashley, the commander, and others run away, but to no avail. Eventually, everyone is turned into a demon. Ashley hears a strange voice promising him power if he kills the demons. Ashley changes into a powerful white demon. Leave the room and Ashley will see himself in the mirror and is disgusted. Continue down the hall and draw the Arghetlam. Ashley is transformed into his usual self, and some strange man named Irving Vold Valeria takes his hand. Ashley faints.

Town of Meria
******************

You wake up again in the bakery. Marina tells you you should thank Irving for saving you. Go outside and you will see Lilka, also looking for Irving. She and you go back into the bakery and she asks for 5 jelly rolls. (She's hungry!) She will tell you that Irving is somewhere nearby. Have the top of the screen point north. Go to the top house of the city, right to the left of the castle. The person inside will tell you that someone by the entrance is obsessed with Valeria Chateau. Go to that person and she will tell you the chateau is on a cliff to the north. Go there.

Valeria Chateau
******************

After you enter Valeria Chateau, you will be asked to wait on the 3rd floor for Irving. He will tell you that you have to find a 3rd ARMS member. He also thinks Lilka is her sister, a very powerful sorceress. You leave and talk to some people. Go down the elevator to the 1st floor where you can save. Go right and down several screens. You will find two people who shouldn't be in a room. You ask where Irving is. They say he is in his room, which happens to be on the 3rd floor. Go there. Irving will explain your mission and then will ask to see your weapon. He fires your weapon and security come to take you to the high-security prison where Brad, an ARMS member, is currently located.

Illsvale
******************

You are taken on a ship to Illsvale, an independent prison located on a faraway island. The 1st inmate happens to be the Warden. Ashley is put in a private cell, but Lilka is still able to help. You must search the jail for a jail card to free Ashley. Activate almost every panel. Each panel may open a waiting room. Some hallways and waiting rooms have guns which can shave 10 HP from you with each hit. You can blow them up with the fire rod or the hurl knife. You will eventually find a room with 4 lockers. Search each locker and you will find and item, and a jail card and equipment. Bring them back to Ashley. Use the jail card on the cell door in the item menu to open it. Previously, you may have found a room in which a man shoots a gun at you. You can see him from the room above (if you did not, it is in a room adjacent to the long hallway). Use the hurl knife in the room above to hit the wall above the man. It will fall and kill the man. Now you can pass. You will find another man in a jail cell by the name of Brad Evans (familiar?). You can now kick any broken panels (hint) or that rusty door in the long hallway of that section. Once you do kick open that door. You will see the Warden who will not let you pass without a fight. He will send a robot of his to stop you.

This again can be a very simple boss fight. Have Ashley Use his shotweapon, Brad use his Bazooka, and Lilka use her spells or heal when necessary. If Lilka uses Mystic and a healing item, the healing item will help all of the party. You can kill the robot in a few minutes. It presents no real challenge.

Valeria Chateau
*****************

When you return to Valeria Chateau with Brad, Irving assigns you a new mission. There is a terrorist group terrorizing the area. You need to go through the Under Traffic to get there. It is located at the mountain range nearby.

Under Traffic
*****************
The Under Traffic is an tunnel going through a mountain. There are boxes that are filled with "fire medicine". You have a fire rod which will make these boxes explode. If you use the kick boots, you can move these boxes. If you put the boxes near or next to boulders, you can blow them up. You will reach a room with with rafts. If you stand on a raft and face the wall, you can kick the wall with the kick boots to propel the raft. In the room with two boxes, you can kick the boxes off the ledge and walk on them to get to the other edge. You will find a man who was injured in a cave-in. Irving calls you on the communicator and tells you to go to Damzen, a town southeast of there.
